I went to Blue Heron farm to get my weekly bunch of fresh flowers. When I was in Brooklyn, this looked more like a bodega or Wholefoods, maybe a bougie flower place from time to time. But now that we are in VA, I get the opportunity to go out to the farms myself. I went out and met Bev, the owner and operator of the farm. One of her volunteers, an unpaid but very appreciated neighbor, had made a beautiful bouquet for me. Bev agreed to let me poke around on my own and even gave me a tour of the flower storage areas.
